Experience Haptic Streaming
Live at MWC Barcelona 2026
Get early access to a new haptics technology that makes touch a real-time, streamable medium.

Haptic Streaming
What Is Haptic Streaming?
Haptic streaming encodes tactile signals in the cloud and transmits them alongside audio and video streams. At playback, compatible devices reconstruct and render the tactile output in sync with the media signal.
Built on MPEG-I Part 31 (ISO/IEC 23090-31), haptic data is encoded in a unified, high-efficiency format (HJIF/MIHS), enabling interoperable delivery across devices. The standard supports both descriptive effects and full-fidelity vibration or force signals.
When an impact occurs during a live broadcast or an explosion unfolds in streamed content, the corresponding haptic feedback is delivered as part of the media stream — through cloud distribution and standardized MPEG haptic encoding.
Why It Matters
It scales touch beyond the device. Haptics moves from hardware-bound effects to a networked, distributable media layer.
It completes streamed experiences. Cloud environments can now deliver synchronized touch alongside audio and video.
It creates a future-proof foundation. Standardized encoding ensures haptic content evolves with new devices and distribution models.
